After the marathon effort for Memory Hole I wanted to do something in a different style, a lot shorter and perhaps a bit faster to make. I thought it’d take maybe a few days but it turned into a few weeks with a lot of cogitating on what is happening in the world of the video, who are these people, and what are they doing. I generated and regenerated images, generated video, edited and re-edited, and eventually… well, here we are.
I used a track I’d made in Udio as the basis of the video, a selection from a group of tracks I made that were inspired in part by Bruce Sterling’s Schizmatrix stories, but visually updated to a more contemporary style.
This is a mood piece, an abbreviated sci fi story, a cruise through the not so distant future.
